First Looks: BlueLounge Refresh The Place to Recharge

Available in white, black, or pink, blueLounge's new Refresh ($90) is a second, smaller take on its earlier Sanctuary, a unique charging tray that was designed to give users access to tons of different power plugs for simultaneous, clean-looking charging of several devices at once.

Review: Kensington Charging Dock With Mini Battery Pack for iPhone and iPod

First things first: apart from including a gray cap rather than a clear one, the battery has the same general pros and cons as its predecessor, using the same shape that basically matches the flat front and tapered sides of the original iPhone and iPod touch, filling the Dock Connector port, blocking the bottom-mounted headphone ports of iPod touch and nano models, and partially obscuring the bottom microphones and speakers of various iPhones.

This week, Kensington released an accessory of first impression—a charger that is specifically designed and marketed as a way to transform an iPhone or iPod touch into a full-screen desktop clock: the Nightstand Charging Dock for iPhone ($40). PowerDock featured a prominent brushed metal top plate and black plastic body, while Dexim’s design is longer, made almost entirely from black plastic, and piped with transparent, light blue lines. Six black plastic Universal Dock…

Review: Dexim Shu-Lip for iPod shuffle 3G

The official iPod shuffle USB Cable ($19) box appears as if it was assembled more to justify a minimum Apple Store accessory price than to offer real value to consumers. Third-generation iPod shuffle buyers know that the model comes packaged with a short 45-millimeter (1.6") cable with a full-sized USB plug at one end and a tapered, shuffle-matching 3.5mm headphone port plug at the other, all in a combination of silver metal with gray and white plastics.…
